Meet Dr. Goodman

Dr. Goodman specializes in the diagnosis and non-operative treatment of acute injuries and chronic conditions of the shoulder, knee, hip and spine.  His interest lies in non-surgical treatment options for tendon, nerve and cartilage problems. He has a passion for comprehensive care of issues surrounding athletes of all levels, master’s athletes and active patients.

As an aging athlete and fitness enthusiast he enjoys fitness in many forms, rides road bikes, cyclocross, and mountain bikes, alpine and backcountry skis, and competed in local cycling races. Above all Dr. Goodman wants to help his patients achieve their best possible outcome and get them back to all of the things they enjoy. He understands the mental and physical toll an injury or chronic condition can cause, and he strives to provide the advanced non-surgical, minimally invasive and regenerative medicine solutions to those seeking an alternative to surgery.

Dr. Goodman has a special interest and advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and regenerative treatments such as platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy.  In 2019, he completed CrossFit M.D. training and enjoys working with patients on lifestyle interventions to promote and optimize health.

Dr. Mark Goodman is a native of Central Oregon. He received his undergraduate degree at Oregon State University.  His medical training was completed at Oregon Health & Science University where he graduated cum laude and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his residency at University of Utah, where he served as chief resident. His fellowship followed with subspecialty training in Sports Medicine at the University of Utah. He has worked with athletes of all levels and volunteered as a physician for the Cascade Cycling Classic, USA Olympic Speed Skating and University of Utah team sports. During and following training he served as a physician at Alta, Park City and Mt. Bachelor Ski Clinics.

Dr. Goodman has been an invited guest on multiple podcasts, published peer-reviewed studies, authored book chapters and given national lectures on the topics of sports and performance medicine.
